You have officially joined the Send team β€οΈ We are thrilled to have you onboard!
The first day at a new job can be overwhelming. As you step into an unfamiliar environment, meet new faces (virtually), and embrace a different company culture, Send's goal is to make you feel welcome and motivated in your new role πΌ
There is a lot of information to absorb, from getting to know your team to understanding your role and responsibilities. Day one is all about settling into your role and finding your footing π£ To help you navigate your first day, we've created a checklist of activities:
Welcome and Introductions
- π Welcome to Send' introduction with Joe Howes - IT setup and an overview of Send.
- π Intro call with your manager - Discuss your role, the team structure, week one plan, and immediate tasks and responsibilities.
- π² People Team call - An overview of our people systems and your benefits.
- π Meet your 'Onboarding Sidekick' - Your 'sidekick' will offer guidance and support throughout your onboarding.
- π« Team intro calls - It's important to meet your new team. This is a great opportunity to ask questions about their Send experience, their role, and what they are watching on Netflix. Your manager may have already set these up, if not, reach out directly to your colleagues. They'd love to have a chat.
- π» Systems setup - Your manager or team will set you up with all the systems and platforms you need for your role.
First day checklist
- [ ] I have access to the team specific tools/platforms I need to do my role, understand my benefits and my Outlook calendar is set up
- [ ] Reviewed the company org structure on BambooHR or the βmeet the teamβ Notion page to get a better understand of whoβs who
- [ ] Sent my P45 to (UK only)
- [ ] Completed and returned DSE Checklist via Bamboo
- [ ] Completed all onboarding documentation in Deelβs platform (non-UK only)
