One of our goals for 2023 (and beyond) is to embed ESG into the core of how Send operates. One of our initiatives is to make sure Send employees have dedicated time to put towards charitable and volunteering causes they care about.
We've introduced a volunteering day as a separate leave type, and aim to increase this as we also start to organise more accessible and team-based ways to access volunteering opportunities.
The only requirement around how volunteering leave is used is that it should be for genuine volunteering needs - ie community or online charitable and NFP causes that require volunteers for their operations.
