We ask that if you are sick, to please follow the below process:
- Rest! It's tempting to continue trying to work, especially in a remote-first company, when you're unwell. We'd much rather you take time to physically and mentally rest so you have a quick path to recovery. Similarly, please keep an eye on your fellow team members too as sometimes friendly encouragement for someone to take some time to rest might be necessary.
- Let your Manager know on the morning of your absence before 9am that you'll be on leave. We don't need personal details, but if it's an illness likely to take you out of action for multiple days, a heads up of this too would be most appreciated so we can reallocate work. If you're working on a team project, it might be helpful to let one of the team members know also that you'll be out. This is particularly important for any urgent customer deliverables.
- On your return to work, please log the days off as sick leave in BambooHR.
Where an absence lasts for 8 consecutive calendar days or more, we kindly ask for a doctor's certificate to cover that period of absence. It can be sent over Teams or email to @Pat , or you can upload to your Employee Uploads folder in your Documents tab on your BambooHR profile.
