Send’s health insurance in the UK is offered by AXA healthcare. It includes comprehensive cover including full out-patient coverage, therapies, cancer cover, dental, optical and mental health support

Enrolment in AXA's healthcare happens via a monthly enrolment cycle, usually in the last week of each month.

Private healthcare in the UK is considered a benefit-in-kind by HMRC. This means that any premium that Send pays for your healthcare is considered taxable income that we must report to HMRC at the end of each tax year. HMRC will then recoup the tax on this benefit through your tax code or self-assessment.

Summary of cover:

Treatment Treatment with Comprehensive Cancer Cover – includes inpatient hospital costs, specialist & anaesthetist fees, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, out-patient CT, MRI and PET scans on referral, out-patient surgery and ambulance transport for facility transfers
Out-Patient Full out-patient coverage – no yearly limit for specialist consultations including diagnostic tests on referral, fees covered for practitioners including nurses, dieticians, orthoptists, speech therapists and audiologists
Therapies No yearly limit for out-patient physiotherapy, acupuncture, homeopathy, osteopathy or chiropractic treatment. Up to 10 sessions per year on GP referral, extra sessions on specialist referral.
Cancer Cover Cancer Cover Comprehensive cancer cover including ongoing monitoring
Mental Health Stronger Minds Service – No GP referral required, access to faceto-face and online counselling along with psychotherapists and psychologists as an inpatient or outpatient if necessary

🇺🇸 USA

From March 1st, 2024, Send is part of the Standard Tier insurance benefits detailed further in the attachment below. This places a percentage contribution on insurance benefits (95% Employee; 70% Dependents), and any amounts in addition to this for the plan(s) you select will be deducted from payroll by Remote, our Employer of Record in the US.

The contribution percentage applies to medical, dental and vision cover. Remote provides all US team members by default, coverage for basic life insurance, short-term disability and long-term disability, which is 100% funded by Send. There will be the option during benefit enrolment to add additional voluntary cover provided through Remote’s benefit partners.

Send’s health insurance in India is offered by Plum and ICICI Lombard and administered through our employment partner, Deel. It includes inpatient, emergency cover, maternity cover, pre-existing conditions, pre- and hospitalisation, tele-consultations, dental and optical.
